Day 2

Digital Presence is what you do online and Digital Identity is literally you (or what you want to share about you), and let you have more rolls than real life.

We talked about blogging with Laura Gogia and Lee Skallerup. From Laura’s perspective, when writing, you need to put together everything you are doing, so it can make sense, connect it and it does not have to be deeply meaningful, by doing that it will turn into an important blog post. Also, she recommended us to post personal stuff when others can benefit from it.

On the other hand, Lee’s opinion was that most of what we write is dribble, and might be meaningful to you, to let it on the open to other people to see it. Now, we can make conections with others ideas, not only ours, can add gifs, videos, music. Learning is a personal thing and when blogging it has the values  of who is writing.  Besides, blogging gives you an oportunity to meet people interested on the same things as you. Lastly, explained how she has made an impact on others people lifes by blogging and expresing her opinion.

It ended by telling us, that when we  are sharing our ideas, should not let people tell us that what we post is wrong, because everyone has a different opinion.

Later, we also talked with Alan Levine and Amy Burvall. The most important thing that they mentioned is how everyone has a different way of writing, drawing, blogging, etc. And it contains their style without even signing it.

As well, Amy talked about how she encourages her students to write withouth fear if the way they are doing their blogs is correct. After, they expressed some of their struggles when people used their work and how they handled the situation. Finally, they both mentioned how important it is to practice everything that you do, that way you can improve the way you write.
